Richard Brezina has been chosen to represent Canada in the Red Bull X-Alps in 2017.

Red Bull X-Alps

The Red Bull X-Alps, now in its eighth edition, has the well-deserved reputation of being the world’s toughest paragliding adventure race. Athletes must fly or hike via set turn-points, more than 1000 km through the Alps from Salzburg to Monaco in the fastest time possible. Each team consists of one athlete and one supporter. Fans can follow the action online on the Red Bull X-Alps website, which features live GPS tracking of all athletes, as well as timely multimedia reports.

【レッドブルXアルプス2017とは】

20カ国から集結した強靭な30人のアスリートは、オーストリアのザルツブルクをスタート、オーストリア、ドイツ、イタリア、スイス、フランスに設けられたチェックポイントを通過しながらアルプス山脈を超えモナコのゴールを目指します。
各チームは一人のアスリートとサポーターで構成され、アスリートはフライトに必要な装備を常に携帯し、飛べる時はパラグライダーで、飛べない時は背負ってランニングか徒歩で移動しなければなりません。
